General information
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and to protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations and this Data protection statement.
We strive to protect the databases as thoroughly as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification. We note that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
By using this website you consent to the collection, processing and use of data as described below. This website can generally be visited without registration. In the process, data such as pages called up or the name of the file called up, date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly related to your person. Personal data, in particular name, telephone number or e-mail address are collected as far as possible on a voluntary basis. The data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.
1. Data protection
This data protection statement informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data on our website elenaperez.ch (hereafter referred to as “this website”) by the sole proprietorship Elena Perez Serrano – Language Solutions (henceforth “we”, “our” or “the website operator”) and provides details of the rights to which you are entitled. These rights are governed by the applicable data protection laws.
We are a company based in Zurich. In the course of our business activities, we obtain and process personal data, in particular personal data about our customers, associated persons, associations, visitors to our website, participants in events, recipients of correspondence and other organisations or their respective contact persons and employees (hereinafter also “you”). In this data protection statement, we inform you about these data processing activities. In addition to this declaration, we may inform you separately about the processing of your data (e.g. in the case of forms or contractual terms).
If you disclose data to us about other persons (e.g. family members, representatives or other associated persons), we will assume that you are authorized to do so and that this data is correct, and that you have ensured that these persons are informed about this disclosure, insofar as a legal duty to inform applies (e.g. by bringing this data protection statement to their attention in advance).
We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this policy. We collect as little personal data as possible. Insofar as personal data (for example, name or e-mail addresses) are collected on our web pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. Without your express consent, your data will not be disclosed to third parties, unless we are required to do so by law or by a court order.

The party responsible for data processing on this website and for providing information on data protection concerns is:

The personal data collected via our web pages will only be processed without your consent for the purposes of handling your enquiries and processing contracts (contact form). We process your data for various purposes related to communicating with you. This includes in particular responding to enquiries, enforcing your rights and contacting you in the event of further questions. In doing so, we primarily use communication data and master data as well as registration data in relation to offers and services used by you. This data may be stored for documentation purposes, training, quality assurance and follow-up enquiries.
We also process data for information purposes and to maintain customer relations. We may send general or personalised information about our services to our customers, for example in the form of irregular contacts by email, by telephone or through other channels for which we have contact information from you. You have the option at any time to decline such contacts or to refuse or withdraw your consent to be contacted for advertising purposes. With your consent, we can target our offer more specifically to the needs of our clientele.
As soon as the purpose for the collection, processing and use of the personal data has ceased to exist, we will delete this data immediately, unless there are justified reasons in the sense of the applicable statutory regulations, such as in particular statutory retention obligations. In this case, the deletion will be replaced by a blocking of the data.
The website operator is responsible for the data collection on this website.
3. Copyright notice
All contents on elenaperez.ch, in particular texts, photographs and files, are protected by copyright and belong to the website operator or the indicated rights holders. The written consent of the copyright holder must be obtained in advance for the use of any content. Anyone who violates copyright provisions without the consent of the relevant owner of the rights may be liable to prosecution and damages.
4. Objection to data processing for advertising purposes
The usage of contact data published within the framework of the imprint requirement for purposes of sending advertising and information material that has not been explicitly requested is hereby objected to. The operator of the website expressly reserves the right to take legal action in the event of non-solicited advertising information being sent, e.g. via spam e-mails etc.
5. Data collection on this website
5.1. Server-Logfiles
This website is hosted by WordPress.com. In order to optimise and maintain our website, technical errors that may occur when accessing our website are logged. Furthermore, when using the website, information is automatically collected that the browser of your end device transmits to our hosting provider. This includes: IP address and operating system of your end device, browser type, version, language, date and time of the server request, accessed file, the website from which the access was made (referrer URL), the status code (e.g. 404) and the transmission protocol used (e.g. HTTP/2). This data is collected and stored by our hosting provider in order to be able to optimise processes and procedures, particularly in connection with the use of our website and the security and stability of the computer system. For more information, please see the WordPress.com privacy policy at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Insofar as the European General Data Protection Regulation is applicable, the basis for this data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) of the GDPR.
5.2. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that are stored on your terminal device and saved by your browser. Some of the cookies we use are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them or until they expire. These cookies make it possible to recognise your browser the next time you visit this website.
In your browser, you can select to be informed in advance about the use of cookies and decide on a case-by-case basis whether you want to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, or whether cookies should be completely prevented. This may restrict the functionality of the website.
Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication procedure or functions requested by you or that optimise your user experience are stored – insofar as the GDPR is applicable – on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1(f) of the GDPR.
5.3. Third-party services
Social Media
We use social media plugins. These are small pieces of software, usually recognisable by the logo of the relevant company or network, that create a connection between your visit to our website and a third party provider. The social media plugin tells the third party provider that you have visited our website and may send the third party provider cookies that they have previously placed on your web browser.
When you use these services, your IP address will be communicated to these providers. At most, the providers can link your data to your social media user account via the IP address, provided you are logged in at that time. In addition, it is possible that your IP address is also stored by the providers when you are logged out or do not have a valid social media account.
We currently use the following platforms, whereby the identity and contact details of the platform operator can be found in the privacy policy in each case:
– Instagram (www.instagram.com)
Privacy policy: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
– LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com)
Privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
For more information on how these third parties use your personal data collected through their social media plugins, please refer to their respective privacy statements.
Google Services
This website uses tools and services offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), in particular to improve the functionality or content of our website (e.g. integration of presentations). We may also use forms for which Google stores data. These services use, among other things, cookies that are stored on your terminal device and, as a result, data is transferred to Google in the USA, although we assume that no personal tracking takes place in this context solely through the use of our website.
Google has undertaken to ensure adequate data protection in accordance with the US-European and the US-Swiss Privacy Shield. Further information can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Booking appointments
We may offer you services on our website where the provision of personal data is mandatory. An example of such a service is the online scheduling of appointments for meetings or consultations. In these cases, we primarily process master data and communication data as well as, in some cases, other information that is necessary to process your request. We may also store your data in order to be able to refer to it in follow-up communications. Furthermore, we can support you in the use of our services by contacting you.
Links
For your information, you will also find links on our web pages that refer to the pages of third parties. We have no influence on the content and design of these pages of other providers. The information in this data protection declaration is therefore not applicable there.
5.4. Contact form
If you contact us via the form, we collect your contact details in order to process your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. As a rule, we require the following information:
First and last name
E-mail address
Telephone number
We do not share this information without your consent.
If you have provided us with your e-mail address or telephone number, or have contacted us directly by e-mail, we may also send you information by e-mail or messaging services in connection with dealing with your concerns and queries.
The legal basis for processing your data is based on our legitimate interest in being able to process your online enquiry efficiently and effectively. If the aim of the e-mail contact is to conclude a contract, the data processing is based on the initiation of this contractual relationship.
5.5. Services subject to charges
For the provision of chargeable services, we request additional data such as payment details so that we can execute your order and issue invoices in accordance with the law. We store this data in our systems until the legal retention periods have expired.
6. Security (SSL/TLS encryption)
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content such as enquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by a lock symbol in the address line of your browser.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
We use technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you make available to us from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction and access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are constantly improved and adapted in line with technological developments.
7. Your rights
You have the following rights in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and under certain conditions:
– Right of access: You can request information from us as to whether we process your personal data and, if so, which data this is.
– Right of correction: You can ask us to correct incorrect data or complete incomplete data.
– Right of deletion: You can request that we delete your data. However, please note that certain legal requirements or legitimate interests may limit our obligation to delete.
– Right of data portability: Under certain conditions, you can request that we provide you with the data you have provided in a structured, common and machine-readable format.
– Right of withdrawal of consent: If data processing is based on your consent, you can revoke this consent at any time. Please note that the revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation.
– Right of objection: Under certain circumstances, you have the right to object to the processing of your data, in particular for direct marketing or legitimate interest purposes.
– Right of complaint: You have the right to pursue your claims in court or to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. For Switzerland, the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (http://www.edoeb.admin.ch).
Please note that these rights are subject to legal requirements and that exceptions and limitations may apply. To exercise your rights and if you have further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time. You will find our contact details in section 2 and in the imprint. To ensure that we can prevent misuse, we need to identify you (e.g. with a copy of your ID card, if necessary).
8. Amendment to this data protection policy
This data protection policy is not part of any contractual agreement with you. We may amend this policy at any time. The version published on this website is the current version. The German version shall always prevail in the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the German version and any other language version on this website.
9. Contact
If you have any further questions or concerns, or if you wish to send us any comments or exercise any of your statutory rights, please contact us at info (at) elenaperez (dot) ch. Please include your name and contact address.
